Trombone
Helge started his musical studies at the Conservatory of Music in Trondheim
and continued with Ralph Sauer, solo trombone player in Los Angeles Philharmonic
Orchestra. As a freelance Helge has played with most of the leading Scandinavian
jazz artists, including Karin Krog, Bjørn Alterhaug, John Pål Inderberg
etc.. He is in addition in great demand as a composer and arranger for small
ensembles as well as for symphony orchestras. He has arranged music for innumerable
Norwegian record productions, as well as for Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation.
Helge is also trombone teacher at the Jazz Department at the Conservatory of
Music in Trondheim.
