Studied trumpet at The Conservatory of Music in Trondheim and in Copenhagen
with Pall Mikkelborg. Jan Mange has been the leader of several bands of his
own working with Norwegian folk music in a modern style. In January -96 he presented
his first solo CD : «Enough of that jazz». Jan Mange is today one
of the most exciting jazz trumpeters in Scandinavia. His contribution to Norwegian
music as well as in the jazz/rock field shows a genuine quality and his compositions
for smaller band and bigger brass ensembles are often performed all over Scandinavia.
