Jarle Førde
Trumpet/flugelhorn
Jarle finished his trumpet studies at the Conservatory of Music in Trondheim
in 1980. As a freelance trumpet player he has played in innumerable theatre
and musical productions, and has been a sought-after studio an session musician,
playing everything from rock music to avant garde jazz. During his career, Jarle
has been a member of several Norwegian jazz bands. He was, together with his
twin brother Helge and tuba player Stein Erik, one of the founders of Norway´s
most popular New Orleans styled jazz band: Ytre Suløens Jass-ensemble
touring all over the world until 1989. Jarle is a highly respected teacher in
jazz and music performance, and he has been leading the Jazz Department at the
Conservatory of Music in Trondheim for many years.
