Runar Tafjord French horn Runar graduated from The Norwegian State Academy of Music in 1983.
In the following years he has been freelancing as a classical horn player in
Scandinavian symphony orchestras, among others The Oslo Philharmonics, The Norwegian
National Opera Orch., The Bergen Philharmonic Orch. and The Gothenburg Philharmonic
Orch. Django Bates Festival Orch. in Germany. Runar is also very much used as
a soloist and studio musician and is one of few Scandinavian French horn players
playing jazz. Besides being a skilled artist on his instrument, he is a highly
sought-after conductor and instructor for brass ensembles.
